Jimmy Tatum (born October 9, 1967 in San Diego, California) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman, third baseman, catcher and outfielder. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 3rd round of the 1985 Major League Baseball Draft, Tatum was the American Association MVP in 1992, batting .329 with 19 home runs and 101 RBI. Tatum made his major league debut with the Milwaukee Brewers on September 18, , and appeared in his final game on June 11, . Tatum was a member of the inaugural Colorado Rockies team that began play in Major League Baseball in . He hit the first grand slam in Colorado Rockies history on May 4, 1993. He also played for one season in Japan for the Yakult Swallows (2012 - ?).
